Disney Mark IV Monorail Model Update - August 5, 2007

Yes, it’s been a little while since my last update. I have been working on the monorail, it’s just been touch and go for the last month. I’ve been working on the details of the monorail and as you can see below, I’m still tweaking the materials for the monorail. I have to finish setting up my lighting and rendering environment and then I’ll finish up the details.

I realize the nose looks awful pointy in this shot, it’s just an optical illusion. I have been very careful in matching the profile of the nose as possible. As I render the monorail from other angles it’ll show the true geometry of the model.

Here’s what I have so far:

I’m glad your doing this and being consistent, it looks great!

It’s people like you, virtual-toad.com, bendintheriver.net, and attommobiles.com that make me want to get involved.

I have Maya Unlimited now and have been playing around with it. As soon as I get my new iMac (Core 2 Extreme 2.8-GHz, 1-TB HDD, and 4-GB of ram), transfere over my existing data, and feel I know my was around the software enough, I’ll be glad to start helping you on this project.

I’d like nothing more than to recreate the original Imagination and Land pavillions in exact detail, inside-n-out!

    Keep up the great work!
