The good folks over at MousePlanet managed to get a sneak peek at the new DL monorails. Now that I’ve seen a pic of the real thing, I think they look nice. Very sleek and that cool retro-future look. (note the design nod to the old Mark I & II monorails)

Bear in mind, the attraction is still being tweaked. I’ll reserve my own IMHO until I can see it up close and personal, but from what I can see in the video, it does look intriguing.

Today I found a couple really cool retro art sites that I wanted to share with ya. The artist and websites deal with a style similar to that used in DLP’s Discoveryland.

Click the images to see a larger version. This weekend I’m going to put the monorail into the EPCOT Center model and see how well it all fits. I’ll post a render when it’s done. It should look pretty cool.
